OUR HORSES
MIA (MI AMOUR)
Friesian
Mia (Mi amour)
This angelic mare has been the true heart of Harmony & Love Ranch.
When I first began envisioning our equestrian therapy programs, I dreamed of a horse who would embody sweetness, calmness, gentleness, and unconditional love — a soul capable of connecting deeply with every individual through grace and presence.
And then, I discovered the Friesian breed.
Originating from the Friesland province of the Netherlands, Friesians are one of the most majestic and ancient horse breeds in the world. With their striking black coat, long flowing mane and tail, and powerful yet elegant movements, they radiate beauty and nobility.
Temperament: gentle, intelligent, eager to learn, and endlessly loyal — the perfect companion for both riding and driving.
When Mia arrived, the softness in her eyes spoke volumes. She carried the very essence of what HLR represents: light, love, majesty, and soul.
Standing tall at 17 hands, Mia quickly became not only a muse but also a teacher — guiding the other horses with her calm authority and kind spirit.
She thrives in the arena, delights on trail rides, and loves to play with her mare friends. Mia’s joyful energy captivates everyone who meets her — she doesn’t just move with grace; she moves hearts.

Rosie
Quarter Horse
Rosie arrived at Harmony & Love Ranch with signs of spinal discomfort. A Texas native, she had been put to work at a very young age, which led to significant strain on her back over the years.

Through hundreds of hours of proper exercise, therapeutic sessions, acupuncture, and chiropractic care, Rosie began her journey of recovery and renewal.

Her topline has grown strong again, and her spirit shines brighter than ever. Rosie absolutely loves children — she’s a gentle giant with a nurturing soul, affectionately known around the ranch as Rosie “The Healer.”

When she first came to us, there was visible pain in her eyes and tension in her expression. Today, Rosie radiates joy, peace, and deep gratitude. She is a beautiful Quarter Horse — another testament to how love, patience, and compassionate rehabilitation can transform a life.
HUDSON
Hanoverian
Royal, magnificent, noble, and spirited — that’s Hudson. Affectionately known as “The Gentleman,” this graceful Hanoverian embodies elegance and kindness in every step.

Born in Germany, Hudson once dazzled arenas across Europe and beyond. He earned prizes, applause, and the hearts of those who trained and loved him deeply.

During one of his competitions, however, Hudson sustained an injury that led him to retire earlier than expected from his show career. After a long and patient recovery, he found his new purpose here at Harmony & Love Ranch, where he receives specialized care, mobility support, and all the affection he deserves.

Today, this charming “love bug” enjoys his serene life in the pastures, gentle exercise in the round pen, and tender interactions with our guests. Hudson especially loves connecting with individuals who use wheelchairs, guiding them on calm, heartwarming ride-alongs.

A true gentleman — strong yet tender, majestic yet humble — Hudson reminds us that grace and healing can coexist beautifully.

ALINA
Arabian
Born and raised in Temecula, California, on a rescue and training facility, Alina has always been the lead mare among her herd. This exotic Arabian beauty came to Harmony & Love Ranch full of spirit — fiery, bold, and with a personality larger than life.

In the beginning, Alina challenged every boundary — we couldn’t pick up her feet, blanketing was out of the question, and showers? Absolutely not! Let’s just say… it was a “no-no” situation.

But time, patience, and unconditional love worked their quiet magic. Through care, consistency, and trust, Alina transformed into a sweet little angel — gentle, affectionate, and deeply connected.

Today, she’s Rosie’s best friend, and the two share spacious paddocks and peaceful pastures together. Alina has given back in extraordinary ways, contributing to over 500 community rides and donating hundreds of volunteer hours to veterans and children with disabilities.

She loves working on the ground, connecting with people through presence and patience, or going on slow, relaxing trail rides. Once a wild spirit, now a true healer — Alina embodies strength, transformation, and grace.
BLONDIE
Missouri Fox Trotter
Blondie
In the summer of 2022, Aguanga, California, was severely affected by wildfires that burned thousands of acres to the ground. During this crisis, Harmony & Love Ranch dedicated three days to assisting in the relocation and rescue of horses, helping move them between facilities and safe areas to ensure their protection.
Among the horses in need was Mave, affectionately known as Blondie, a beautiful Missouri Fox Trotter who required rehoming. Amid the chaos and confusion, Blondie stood out for her calm and peaceful presence. The moment we approached her, she gently rested her head in my beloved’s hand, and we knew she was meant to be part of our Harmony & Love Ranch family.
Blondie quickly bonded with her new herd, embracing her brothers and sisters without hesitation. She is a gentle, spirited soul who loves relaxed trail rides, naps beside Mia, and spending time with children and veterans. Her grace and tranquility have made her a cherished member of our earth community.
